ACO Puts hygiene first at FCSI EAME conference

ACO, one of the world’s leading commercial drainage specialists, is to sponsor this year’s FCSI EAME Conference in Madrid (26 to 29 March).  The company will also introduce its HygieneFirst philosophy and new hygienic drainage system at the conference.

ACO’s HygieneFirst philosophy embodies its commitment to raising standards across every part of the hygienic drainage process from design through to installation, cleaning and ongoing maintenance.

It underlines ACO’s approach to hygienic drainage and is based on five core principles:  Hygiene through design based on leading academic research and global best practice; collaboration with suppliers, industry bodies, end users and leading academics to develop products with market-leading in-situ performance; product improvements for optimal health and safety; the delivery of cost management via product ‘cleanability’, and significant investment in ongoing and continued innovation.

Developed in accordance with ACO’s HygieneFirst philosophy, ACO’s new hygienic drainage system will also be exhibited at the conference.  The new ACO system has a hygienic design that incorporates the very latest technical guidance provided by the European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group (EHEDG). It is also the first and only hygienic drainage range on the market to incorporate hygienic design principles which are normally reserved for food contact equipment.

Daniel Vlček , Segment Manager of ACO comments: “At ACO we understand the critical role that drainage plays in a successful commercial kitchen business. We continue to invest significantly in research and development that enables us to manufacture innovative, market-leading products that drive performance standards and which are suitable for future as well as current requirements. Our new hygienic drainage system embodies this commitment and we are delighted to be launching it at what we consider to be the premier event for Europe’s foodservice and hospitality sector.”

ACO’s new hygienic drainage system comprises new hygienic box channel, gully, grate and a patent-pending foul air trap (FAT) designs.
